Ok, ok, so its the old fitness center. (I can't think of the name of the place.) It's located on N Colony and Main street down from Cj's. Anyway... they have a 10.00 a month banner outside. No Contracts, etc. The reason I never went to the old place was they wanted contracts. Ya know, contracts were great in their time for making the company or business money. But eventually people got tired of all the fees that go along with the contract, especially for fitness memeberships. Face it, many if not all of us at one time got a while hair up our butts, joined a club and never used the membership yet still got charged. I for one have done that a few times in my life.
Anyway... there is the fine print I got last night when I went there. They want a 'membership fee' of $79.00 plus $15.00 for the passcard needed to gain access. If you choose the $10.00 a month, you only get to access the place 3 times a week. Like Monday, Wednesday and Friday or something like that. HOWEVER for $5.00 more you get full access 24hrs a day. = GAH, will it ever stop. I think if they just were up front and say $15.00 no contracts on their banner, they would still get business! I was really 'erked when I heard 'the catch' to $10.00 . Jebus! :P
Well, I'm still planning on joining. They have a lot of equiptment in there to play on. So, just an FYI to anyone who is looking to join a health club that is really (for the price) a good deal... and NO CONTRACTS!!
